    Maple Valley Logging & Millwork

Thanks Guys I do have somewhat of a track plan. I'm planning on lettering the Bachman Spectrum 3 truck Shay with "Maple Valley Logging" or just putting on "MVL&M". I 'm also thinking about using the Heisler since it already has the markings of a lumber Co.for hauling the milled lumber out of...

If you look at the article in Novembers MR it explains how to soften the glow by using different resistors. I would love to have that whole article simplified into laymans terms. If anyone out there has some knowledge on this I along with a lot of others would appreciate it.

    Rivarossi Loco's

You guys got me drulling over these Heisler's now. Yes that was on eBay & I don't normally bid in round numbers but was trying to talk on the phone & bid at the same time. Bill I like the shot from under the bridge. The multi levels of your buildings in the distance really show up good that way...

    Rivarossi Loco's

New Rivarossi's? Hey Doc or Bill have any of you or anyone else had any experience with the new Rivarossi engines especially the Heisler's. I know the older made in Italy are the ones that most people like & have had good experiences with. All five that I have are the old ones & are very nice &...

Hey Bill, looks like you have been very busy. It sounds like Mountain Man touched your nerve a little. I don't see any pics on #254 concerning the cracks but one of my concerns falling into the constructive critizism area that you should learn to take a little better is your stone...

    Amish Barn Raising

Thanks guys for your comments. Chaparral I actually do save some sawdust but mostly from my finishing sander. It is very fine & works well in HO scale for dust around the mill. I have read about the ole timers dyeing the sawdust & some are still doing it. I understand the process is very time...

    Rivarossi Loco's

Here are a few Loco's I recently purchased on ebay. I was very surprized when I received them to find out they are brand new & run very well. They don't look like they were ever on a track. They are the older Made in Italy models & they have the better motors that are round. I got all three of...

Bill and Tom's EXCELLENT ADVENTURE in Logging and Mining

Hey ytter_man, I do most of my trestle bents before the bridge. Like Bill mentioned make sure you make some longer so you can cut them to fit. I make them different sizes in lengths beyond the cross bracing so they can be trim to fit, then you can add some more braces if needed.
