    Do you visit Google Ads?

Yep, if people clicked on the ads for the sake of getting The Gauge some revenue then the end result would be that Google would terminate the account. People should only click the Google ads when they have a genuine interest in the product/service being advertised.

What a Year for The Gauge!

I was just having a sneak peak at the monthly stats for December and thought everyone would be interested to know. By the end of the month, The Gauge has received 60,000 visits (a visit being someone coming to look at the site). That's about 2,000 people coming to look at The Gauge each day...

I did a few tweaks to the server. The greater issue is there are more and more people coming to The Gauge to see all the great stuff you guys are posting. :) Over 2,000 people a day now. I don't know how much longer the poor little server can handle it, maybe Santa will bring The Gauge a...

    Charles Ro Supply Company

I was planning on taking a trip over to the Charles Ro Supply Company in the near future and wondered if any people here at The Gauge have patronized his store. He claims to be "America's Largest Train Store" and I've heard good things about the guy but never met him.

    Ebay - Glory Days Gone?

In a way, Ebay is a victim of its own success. They couldn't become the largest marketplace in the world by catering to mom and pop. I was a "power seller" but stopped buying and selling on Ebay sometime around 2002 because I felt it was becoming the internet equivilent of Wal-Mart.

Anyone want to run their own (real) railroad?

Yea, the only way those numbers work for me is if they include a six figure salary for the CEO. ;)

Anyone want to run their own (real) railroad?

Saw this interesting listing for a railroad for sale. I'm guessing by the facts listed that it's the Cape Cod Central Railroad. So, whos' buying it? ;)

I was thinking of buying a Kato Shinkansen set and was wondering if anyone can advise me on these. Where to buy, what's a good price and so on. Probably looking for a seven car Shinkansen 500 set.

    Railfan Roadtrip to Rhode Island

You could always come into Boston and ride the 'T' as well. The 'Green Line' can be amusing if you avoid rush hour.
