    Problems down the track ???

It's probably not you. There are significant problems with the site and server, and I'm needing to rebuild the site from the ground up (it's in process, but I'm at least a couple months behind schedule). Nobody will hold it against you if there's a double-post.

    Anybody want 300,000 railroad ties?

    "The Gauge" models?

I recall seeing some that people have built from a kit, just painted it up themselves and printed out the logo.

    New posts...conflicting numbers

It means you're visiting The Gauge more often than the server software thinks you should. ;) The individual cookie sets how many new posts show up in the new post search (when you click on the "New Posts" link up top), but the portal page counts how many new posts are in a specific time period.

I broke the rules and Atlas banned me

Hah! We've got a rule breaker here, do we? LoL Anyway, I can't see why anyone would want to spend time over at Atlas's forum, The Gauge is about a million times better. :D

    A new Gauge record

I also noticed it was hammering the server, running noticibly slow.

    strange look

Ausien, yes the spell checker is an addon to Internet Explorer. If you want to use it, you do have to do the download. Several people, including myself, have installed it without any issues. As with any download, however, use caution and what works for everyone else may not work for you.
