Hello again,
thank you all for your kind words.
Yes it makes a big difference and yes, pictures don't show the effect as it is but wait until the lights get on.
So i have bad news and good news.
Bad news first.
The Batteries boxes arrived today. (Yeah i know, "why is this bad news ???" )
Well, i ordered AAA Boxes and they send me AA. That's the bad news.
There is no way to fit these into the base, even single Batteries without anything around are at their limit.
Here comes the good news.
I have no intend to wait any longer for the right batteries boxes, i will do it my way
Here we go. Tape the two Batteries together
Solder one side together (1,5 v + 1,5 v gives us 3v, that's what we need for the filaments)
Solder the other side to positive (red) and negative (black)
Carefully insert the package into the base
That's the end position
now tidy up the cables a little
Done, nothing extends, the batteries don't move at all, they are fixed by the cables
As Revell-Fan pointed out correctly, this is NOT the right way to do it. !
Do not solder directly to Batteries, they could explode.
If you decide to do it the same way you do it at your own responsibility. Wear Googles and secure your surroundings against any Fire hazard.
Although i did it that way, i strongly advise against it.
That being said....
Now comes the best part, switch to the on position and enjoy
That's the effect i wanted to achieve when i first thought about the font -Led combination. I'm happy it turned out like this.

You sure knocked that one out of the ball park. Fantastic looking ship, and excellent build thread. It's only enemy will be dust. A nice display cabinet or something to keep it nice and clean. 
Your model and stand are looking fantastic. I love the light in the stand.
Outstanding! The lights are great and elevate this model. However, I would not recommend soldering batteries together. You can do that BUT you have to be careful and wear goggles (in case they explode due to too much heat). I would use a proper compartment which makes replacing the batteries easier, too.

You are correct. I should have pointed this out earlier. I will edit my post regarding that part.
I know that is not the nice or safe way, i already ordered new boxes, hopefully this time in AAA.

There are videos on how to make a spot welder on YouTube that can make a spot weld for a tab, and does it so quick, that virtually no heat is produced, except in one spot.
