Cessna 172 cardstock model

I like your model more than the real plane. These these things feel like your sitting on a poll, and when you stall it, it snaps straight up, the very quickly and sharply straight down, and then you start your recovery. Go up without eating anything so you don't lose your lunch. I flew one of these from Connecticut, to Niagara Falls, then to Toronto, Montreal, then down the St. Lawrence Seaway, and down the east coast cutting across back to Connecticut. Took around 2 weeks. I vowed after than to stick to Pipers. Nice job on your model. I've never been able to find a nice model of the Piper unfortunately, they always get the nose wrong. The pic below is the actual plane I flew. It has a new paint job, and is still registered and active in Connecticut. :)

Thanks, you've got more guts than I do to be able to fly a plane, must be pretty fun though.

I felt bad I kind of to over your thread, but that's what a well made model will do to you.

To be honest, flying is easy. Landing is a bit more difficult though, but once you get the hang of it, it's like riding a bicycle. ;)

I imagine it's pretty scary the first time as well.

If you find flying makes you nervous, it may make you nervous, but as you have a very personal instructor, and you're in control, you will find it far more relaxing than getting into a huge jet airliner, with too many people, and absolutely no input. I do not fly in commercial aircraft. :)
