First of all I apologize for the long wait, however, life demanded its toll. BUT now I am ready and eager to BUILD something again!!!
As you might have guessed I'll start with the test build of the Alien Derelict. I have begun with the center pod, pictures will follow tonight when it is finished.
The first impression of the kit is: It is like a dream. The fitting is superb and the texture is phenomenal. Major kudos to @Vger1981 . Thank you for designing one of the most unique spacecraft, for your patience and for letting me test the parts (I did find some issues though ). CU later!

Alright, here they come!
I started with the bottom:
A ring is attached:
The top:
I found it easier to leave the top piece open and to close it after it was glued to the ring:

The parts for the top dome, arranged in an expressionistic fashion:
Looks like an alien face..!
The open ring at the bottom of the picture is assembled first. Then an inner ring is added:
Another level is attached to the inner piece:
And a dome on top. Its petals are glued together using a small paper strip made from left-over pieces of the page.
The dome is glued to the center piece which is now complete.
Now come the arms. Stay tuned!
