I got a nice set of chalk and some dull coat today and practiced weathering a bit.

I found a soft brush is better than a stiff one.

Can you guys pass along some tips?

How do you do it?

Thanks, you all are always helpfull.

Yes some members of The Gauge weather trains ( not me ... yet ) but their posts are in the "Weathering" forum in the reference question.
You can use the search engine with "pastels"

Gil, sometimes I use a very stiff brush with the lighter colored powders, I "grind" the powder into the surface of the paint. It helps to give the factory paint a "faded" appearance.
