Hi everyone,

I recently built the Moonbus from UHU2 – without the assembly instructions. Why? Because the instructions would have been useless, as I had to redo almost every part two or three times because the UHU2 instructions are very vague and leave many questions unanswered. Apart from that, there are no adhesive folds specified, so you have to figure them out yourself. Unfortunately, the fit also leaves something to be desired. Conclusion: think for yourself, adjust before gluing, check whether it belongs there, etc. Improvisation and trickery are normal, especially with the transparent parts. Upper part attached – doesn't fit together with the lower part at all...

It's a very complex model and requires a lot of patience, but now I'm done and... I'm still satisfied.

I treated myself to something at the end

My next model is the A-Wing, again with building instructions if desired.

You have done a FANTASTIC JOB on this project!
I would have liked to have seena full build thread on this model, highlighting everything that you had to do to build this model. I think that it would have been a very informatiove and helpful thing to read.
Thank you very much for sharing your assesment of the model template.

You're right about the instructions. Now that I know what to look out for, I'll do it again later - with instructions. ;)

She is a tricky beast to get right and I must say you had a bloody good stab at it! 'top job' @Walter2

I wish there was some Irish whiskey around when I built mine!

Paper modelling really does lend itself to multiple attempts and some lightbulb moments when things go right...

My meagre effort here was welcomed by my brother as a present some years back, I may revisit this model, but I really don't look forward to doing those side windows again...

Excellent job. The workmanship, because you fit, cut to fit, measured thrice, cut once. Your model looks way better than UHU's attempt. You have every right to be very proud of your build. I do share some joy though, because you've displayed it here!! :)
