I still don't know what happened, but Rhino 5.0 (64) corrupted, and I could not get it to run properly. The 28 bit version still worked, but that won't open my 64 bit models.
Long story short, after trying probably 100 methods listed everywhere, I found I could download the file program again from McNeel. I am using an Educational License, as I am teaching my son to do CAD with Rhino. I was afraid if I downloaded the Full Normal Rhino 5.0, it would wipe out my Student License. I decided to get Rhino 8 (still waiting on that to go through), and I downloaded Rhino 5.0. I installed it, and when it was finished, nothing happened, like saying"You're all done', the program just closed.
When I opened Rhino 64, which was what I was having trouble with, it was completely fixed, and in the corner, where it has my license information, was right there. The reinstall repaired the no longer sold program. I think McNeel's commitment to always keeping the program you purchased available to you goes above and beyond..
So now, after 1.5 weeks, I'm back in business.
