Does anyone have any ideas to clean locomotives and rolling stock? How can I clean theplastic shells with out damaging them? Any ideas will help!

I remove the shells and lightly scrub them with a soft toothbrush in warm water and dish soap.
Then dry them with a hair drier on medium heat. To much heat will warp the plastic.
Be gentle around small parts like brake wheels.
