Team Neo-Aksarben! Running gag here in Nebraska US, we use Aksarben (Nebraska backward); combined with a buddy's head cannon of an in universe world colonized by Nebraskans and restarting Anglo-Saxon culture.

Glamor shots! I think I'm going to stick with the non-serious nature of the paint here. I like my papercard models with character, and as is, this one has lots I don't want to lose! (Other phots need scaled down...)

After cleaning the brushes and cleanup water, things went well enough. It still looks a touch lanky, but I like it. I've been spoiled by a lot of 3D prints and plastic kits with crisp details. I needed to stop tonight and clear coat and just admire the paper model for what it is. Fun...

Paint starting out was a bit rough. I started with black, so that was easy enough on the bottom and heat shield bricks. Pain was the light ivory, especially after finding I hadn't properly washed my brushes or cleaning water after using highly pigmented red paint!

Almost done with the build! Got some gaps to fill, then it's off to primer and paint!

Adding more greebles in the form of weapons!

Greebly time! Turret got the most love tonight. In game, it's a pair or particle projector cannon (PPC) and a long range missile pack (LRM 20, twenty missile tubes firing simultaneously). Also added some raised sections over the cockpit/bridge for details that make it more visually...

I was debating, did I want it "inny" or "outty".... Out was easier! I did stop myself from greebling it up with some variable thrust pieces (like a hexagonal F-16 style engine). This time.

Tonight's progress! Added engine pods, door moldings, and turret base (weapons not added yet).

Wings and vertical stabilizer mounted, Bridge added and greebled! 90% assembled! Just the two engines to mount and detail up and maybe some wood putty as gap filler in a few spots before priming and painting. Oh, yeah, and the turret.

Getting to the greeblies with the hemispherical nail art beads for the port and starboard running lights! As well as other areas...

Its a paper brick! Turret mount added, heat shield bricks applied. Currently drying under weight pressure!

Just more armor added. I will do the lower hull heat shielding next, as that is laminated even thicker and drying overnight.

The next layer, on the skin goes armor! We'll, this will correct some joints and keep things flat and solid!

Some shots after adjusting glue joints, trimming, and sanding, as well as cutting the first mech bay doors I detailed. These will be the first of my greebles.

Once the glue was dry, I went on to correct some issues with the seams. And then begin greebles

Getting the sides reinforced, and the brick put together roughly! Once I get this cleaned up, I move into the all time consuming but rewarding geebles!
