    MIKURU - Animefigur

You're right, it's a learning experience for me, I'll benefit from it with the next character. :toast:

The braids were a horror, I don't like them either, it couldn't be better unless I do them again (NO). With the braids I learned one thing - with hair there is usually a part that you can glue to the back of the hair so that it has the same color. Forget it. Why? The paper became too thick and...

But it doesn't work with my small fingers with 1mm adhesive folds and access too small for the tweezers.

one hand ready. So far, there hasn't really been a part of this figure that I've done two or three times. The fingers were a horror anyway, they were so small. When gluing small parts, I switched from glue to a thin, transparent glue because the glue attacks the paper too much, softens it and...

    MIKURU - Animefigur

These parts are finally fitted, it was quite a fiddly job.

I'm sorry zathros, but it didn't work. Unfortunately the upper part of my head above the eyebrows came undone, so I have to do it again. I also have to redo the bottom part from the hips down (bottom, thighs), all of a sudden nothing fit together. Once a small deviation and that continues. I...

still looks very unconventional, but that's the way it is. It was quite a fiddle. Let's continue with the lower body.

I think the most awkward part I ever did was the white part - the chest. The good thing about the whole thing, however, is that you can cover up parts that are not so successful with other parts afterwards (stitches, hair, etc.). So you can conceal some things. I can't wait to see how the back...

    MIKURU - Animefigur

A new beginning... Phase 1: the face. I'm leaving out the foil on the eyes here, as the eyes are split. But I will do a test on another figure.

i have no problem with rounding, but as you can see from the two pictures, everything is just edges, i can't round much. Anyone who has already worked with pdo will certainly know this. Anyway, the new printouts are already ready... ;)

I use an inkjet printer and glue everything with waterproof glue. You give me so many good tips and really encourage me to start the figure again. Because - so far I've managed every model, but the figure runs a little differently. :toast:

I give up - Pepakura cannot be used for such figures. Since you never know exactly where to “fold”, nothing fits together over time. The glue joints look horrible. The program is ok for other models, but not for such demanding figures. But I still have a lot of figures in stock as pdf. I will...

    MIKURU - Animefigur

well, what can I say - I haven't managed any better and the accuracy of fit also leaves a lot to be desired. But I hope it will look better after a bit of sanding and airbrushing.
