Welcome aboard, like you I'm interested in the modelling side of building a layout rather than the actual subject matter. Never had any time or space for a setup, but I am helping a friend build his dream layout... look forward to seeing your progress when you do indeed get your feet wet.

I too use UHU for larger parts and big laminations - however on nearly all my models my go-to is Deluxe Roket, It bonds within seconds on some cards and almost dry and ready within 10 - 20 seconds, so production is ramped up, Not the cheapest, but I've not found anything better than this

I had the same with an Iron Man build - literally no instructions and folds that fried the brain cells! It sits in the corner tormenting me...:biggrin:
