My main problem with figure painting is getting the flesh tones and hair to look realistic, but I've only ever tried one paper figure... This looks great for what it is, and a learning lesson for all.

I just barely remember the TIE Defender, but I agree with starting with the basic model, then working thru variants.

Leaving them blacked out... This model is proving difficult for me due to the size. I don't think I could do an interior if I wanted too.

Main body, part 1a is cut out. and edge colored and prefolded. Now the support, aka chassis parts are next.

Next parts are the support structure and body, I'll try edge coloring before assembly on these.
