    building my own millenium falcon

From all of my own investigations (I had plans to design a 1:50 scale Falcon at one point) the cockpit tube is straight (not angled vertically) and should line up with the top of the side docking sections (the octagonal boxes). Tirick

Those look incredible! Thank you for sharing. That grey/blue on the urban is perfect, all I have to do is add unit markings to match my 'Guard. Thank you for sharing these! Sean

C-21 Dragon Assault Ship from AVATAR.

Texture, then Pepakura. At the minimum, UV map, then export and open in Pep. Pep can import replacement textures so long as there is an existing UV map on the mesh. Absolutely brilliant, BTW! Tirick

;) that is really what I meant: your awesome detailing/rust version. Plain white would be much less interesting. Brilliant, thank you! I have a bit of work ahead of me, as I want to make a city camo schema to match my IG Chimera's (hand painted). Thanks again! Tirick

Awesome, thank you! Any chance of getting a plain no-color texture set? Easier to modify from that rather than the green camo. Thank you, Tirick

Really, if GW was 'good', they'd release patterns as they used to do for their vehicles, and encourage scratch building. All they are really doing us pushing out those who cannot afford their hobby in favor of a bottom line. 'Real' company behavior of course, but galling all the same. When I...

Awesome, simply awesome. If I might say, even better than your 'raider. I especially like how you've designed the textures as a detailing layer, making 'painting' much simpler, while yet giving visual appeal to the panels. Are you planning to include sponsons, or leaving that for the future?

    Blackadder's Scratchbuilt Thunderhawk

Hard to tell from the pics, but I think you've got it spot-on. I am continually amazed at your incredible attention to detail, thank you for sharing this progress!

    Epic Model Found

That is a shame; I've had a host of these waveserpents (metal) in a box since my display fell about 6 ft and destroyed most of my stands/paint jobs. I've not had the heart to sort them out. Making paper ones (instead of bending/filing/retouching and possibly scrapping the metal ones) would be an...

    warhammer Land Rider

When I first saw the pics, before I read the text, I thought: 'Oh, he's showing his new texture opposite a plastic kit'. Then I realized they were both paper... I love my Dark Angels, but these make me almost want some Black Templars.

    Epic Scale Papercraft 40k

Sweet! I'd been toying with making some epic-scale 40K things myself. You have these available, or just scratched together for personal use? Tirick

Nice panels on the Wolves'... That RC looks sweet, although I'd be worried about accidentally running over my army if used in game.

    Large scale Imperial Warships

Awesome, thank you both. Unlocked files mean I can print at my preferred scale (I checked, 1:10,000 is still totally buildable), and remove fold lines. Many thanks! Tirick

    Large scale Imperial Warships

And you should be! Awesome detailing work. I've some shots of my 1:10,000 ISD's, with 1:5000 (1:10,000 was too crazy-small) scale groups of TIE fighters to support them. Mostly scratchbuilt, although I made rough 3d templates in Blender for the basic styrene shapes. Since these pics I...

    Large scale Imperial Warships

The secret technique is eyelash/eyebrow tweezers. No kidding. I've assembled 2mm goggles (1 mm wide) on my figures using those. On the scratch built ones I used faceted craft-beads that my daughter donated to the cause. A little big, but perfect shape. Tirick

    Large scale Imperial Warships

I scratchbuilt myself a pair of 1:10,000 scale Impstars (as well as an Interdictor and a Victory) a few years ago out of plasticard, and after it was done I realized how horrible the scale/detail was on the Ertl kit. I'd known how bad the Falcon was, but before then I'd always thought the ISD...

Awesome, the Venator is one of the better designs to come out of the 'new' trilogy. Tirick

Oh man this is gonna be sahweet!!!!

I toyed with converting the model myself, but way too many projects. This looks like a modified model rip though which explains the faceting. And hell-yeah. I want one.
