Lost in Space (TOS) B9 robot by CWH (?)

The way that "Bubble is designed you could just use some shrink-wrap packaging and find/cut out the clean flat parts...hold the parts together with painters tape and dot connect with superglue, let that dry and remove the tape and finish gluing... a good clean joint between parts is a must...as...

    Hi folks from Strick67

Howdy @Strick67 good to see you and welcome to Zealot...also a Blenderhead on Blenderartist ( you can recognize me by my avatar) and sometimes Model Designer...though mostly just amassing a ton of models and very little designing. I do wish they would take up the slack and work on the paper...

Cut with a Click Knife if you got one... then you can extend the blade to cut deeper...as soon as you cut through the first side the knife will go through the foam like it isn't there and you will poke through the backside...You also need a really sharp blade ( new x-acto) if not it might drag...

SMS Sachsen - 1:200 scale from Dom Bumagi kit

Yep...not even the purest card modeler in the world is gonna be found trying to cut slivers of card-stock for rigging lines...though if there is one he is probably a member here! Very nice ship model you have done!

    Hello from Italy

Let me be the first to welcome you to Zealot! I personally love old ship models, although I haven't built one since the '60s, I think you will find as I have card is just another form of wood and can be used in all the old modeling with just a few alterations! It is also far cheaper than the...

I hear that...really reminds me of the '60s two-fold! ...so how do you like cutting them curves??? that alone is worth buying one. IMHO oh forgot to mention Tank-treads tire treads !!! If you trace just one inside say Inkscape or any vector program all you have to do is duplicate as many times...

Egg Crate Egg Crate! Remember those words...anything you build can be strengthened by using an egg crate technique. If you get what is commonly call Poster Board...it is about .5MM thick...and easy to cut. and for all those parts that need it, a form can be designed for it... EGG CRATE

Might think about upgrading into Tera Byte drives... at some point...a 2 TB internal is around 50$... I say this as My 3d model files folder since January is a little over 120GB as it stands now...haven't even added into the equation the several folders of just Blender files with the textures...

    About cutting machines

Blade Number - This setting indicates the amount of blade exposed from the blade tip in 0.1 mm increments. The higher the number, the more blade that will be exposed, and therefore the deeper your cut will be. So using a Black-Ratchet Blade which cuts up to 1mm, Card at 260gsm, = somewhere in...

    About cutting machines

Yes...BUT>>>You will have to reconstruct the gear pattern for the extra thickness of the strip, ( most gears are of high quality and the cuts are exceptional, most of the ones I make the cut line is around .002 mm thick or in other words, you can't see it on screen) otherwise the gear is apt to...

    Anyone know about cricut?

Glad you got it fingered out...I always hate to advise another machine when the one you have will do what you want, once you get things right...that one just won't do what I need it to do...and of course I send vector files directly from my 3d so I oftentimes bypass the Cameo program altogether...

    About cutting machines

Cutting thick.. is doable...But you need it to do a double cut, you basically set it for the first cut at half the distance, add a pause to the cut routine, reset the blade to do the second cut, and hit resume. It is the blade that you need ( Cameo extra depth blade ) Gears? We can do gears...
