    photo background

Over the past year and a half, I've been using a white background board. I made it by taking an USPS one rate game box, cutting it open and painting the inside white. I will, at some time in the future, build a proper photo booth.

    A true Tragedy has struct

My dad had a 12" one that somehow keep getting the handle broken (it was not me... it was Nick my little brother just younger then me). Little pipsqueak kept putting a pipe on the handle to get extra leverage. They kept replacing the handle... no problem. MAN!!!! I miss those times. You just...

    A true Tragedy has struct

one thing I know that would work,.... take it to someone that can weld stainless steel, and have them run a bead on each jaw, then file it down. But that would not be cost effective. As my dad would say..... "that is like putting a $100 dollar patch on a $2 dollar tire"

    A true Tragedy has struct

He he he... I tried that in the past.... didn't work. By the time I got the teeth filed off of both sides... I had a gap between the jaws that would barely hold to a 1mm thick piece of cardboard. I've been using it to clamp the cardboard to cardboard when I need double thickness.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.:noteeth::biggrin: 1 thing that I have noticed in building these, each one that I have built (so far) the inside of the "rubber tire" is about .5mm smaller in Dia. then the outside of the "wheel rim" where it is supposed to mount.

    Mercedes-Benz 7.1L - SSK

I will probably re-skin it at some point before I finish. yesterday's update: I had the picts.... just did not have time to post yesterday. I do not like that HUGE open space in the fuel tank... I know it will be covered with the tires.... but I intend to close it up before I mount the tires...

    Battlestar Galactica Launch stall

I remember watching the scene where they are riding the lift down, and thinking to myself that it must be mounted to a forklift, because of the way it bounced around as it lowered. are you going to make a forklift to attach to the lift from behind the wall?  :biggrin...

I agree 100% Z with both the body panels and the steering. I also agree with your critique. They do have 1 more of the "skeleton" models, but I have a few other projects to do before I tackle that one. Thank you everyone for the kind responses, they are always appreciated.
