    Digital Navy's Admirable

Hi cmdrted Great looking model, bravo. BTW - I think the Admirable freebee did a good job but it is getting old now - what would be a good subject to replace it in "service"?

Barry - you are manufacturing chain yourself  Wow. Jim - just in case you don't get this chain right, I buy nice, fine chain somewhere on 6th Ave bet. 37 -38th. Some place with embroidery - if I got the name right

Barry That's a very good idea with the turret template. The fit is extremely tight, as on the original ship. From Skulski's drawings it looks like #3 turret, when rotating, could clear the tower only with guns elevated :?

    Battleship "Schleswig - Holstein"/ GPM Nr.218 /1

Scorpio - looking forward to your new build. Interesting project indeed. How are you going to build her - "standard or open"? Jim - I would add one more thing in your description of the ship history. For all Poles, the ship will always be a symbol of dark days in September of 1939, as it fired...

    Upcoming model from GreMir Models

Can't say what it is, but do I see a rectangular opening at the bottom of the bow, somewhere close to the bulkhead #4? Sonar location :?

    DN USS Arizona 2004

Thanks guys, but I keep saying that I'm an average builder, nothing spectacular here. I just hope that I make good designs, but that's not up to me to judge. Gil - as much as I would like to get rich quick  , I just don't know when, and even in what form this model will be out. So hold...

    DN USS Arizona 2004

To be honest I counted on your help Ron  But my problems are still a mystery for me as one of THE images was less than 45K. The color profiles is something I have to look at, you’re right.

    DN USS Arizona 2004

Just to prove that I'm doing something on the Arizona two progress shots of the model. I don't think I can finish her in 100% for the Herndon meeting, but I'll bring the model anyway. Anybody from the forum is planing to attend?

    Spied in the Enemy's camp

I also visit this board and site frequently. I have to give a credit to the editor -Timothy Dike and his collaborators for keeping this site going - the site is updated very often. I could also learn a lot from them - especially when researching the Arizona.

    Digital Navy Fuso

Hi Barry The rectangular shape you asking about is the outline of "signal stand" - some sort of shelf from which signalman would work. I couldn’t figure out how high above the platform deck this shelf would sit (probably lower than the edge of platform shield) so I left it out of the design...

    Ship hulls

Personally, I play with paper as much as possible, like Jim, and use paint as little as possible. Although I’ve never tried the foam method, I think I wouldn’t like all this logistic hassle with foam, paint, sending, polishing, masking etc. No space, no time, no motivation. The problem for...

The railing stanchions spacing is not spelled out anywhere in the Skulski's book so we need to somehow scale it from the drawings. It looks to me as if 8mm to 10mm spacing will be OK.

Baltic? Are you shure about the spelling of the name?
