Thanks Don... Well it is different..;-) I'm using mostly "Liquitex" acrylics that I've had lying about for ages straight from the bottle.. I've got an oil flesh color that I'll use for the skin.. It's just an "off the top of my nugget" experiment, and I'm kinda winging it.

Finished!!!!!!!!!! Well the lads at the shipyard worked overtime today, and we manage to get this thing done.. A few very light coats of "Future" to seal the colors, and blend everything in.. Mounted the torpedo, and then up on the cradle.. Looks good to me.. This was a fun kit to do, that...

conning tower/dive planes Nice to have an afternoon with no one bugging me..;-) I've added the conning tower.. periscope.. dive planes, and other fiddly bits to the main hull.. conning tower and other hull add ons.. periscope.. forward dive planes.. stern dive planes..

Chris... No interior at all.. What I'm going to do, is just darken underneath the canopy to give the idea of an opening going below decks..

Thanks Chris.. No problems so far that are not of my own doing (the norm for me).. Fit has been excellent, though some of the formers for the pieces that make up the stern/rudder had to be trimmed.. But I'd rather shave something down to fit, then build up to fit..

main hull Hello Jim.. You mean my "A spoonful a day keeps the doctor away"..;-) Here are two photos showing the main hull, and the rivet detail on the front that I did with dots of white glue..

nose Finished the nose piece.. Once the parts were put together, I coated the inside of the cone with a couple of layers of white glue to sort of weld the parts together.. nose parts.. finished...

It should.. I pre-spray a flat clear coat from a can, on all the pages before starting the model, as it helps in cleaning up excess glue without smearing the ink on the model.. I use a clear spray from work, that we use to go over chalk lines so they don't get rubbed out from walking on them...

I use an airbrush with a old tip that is for nothing else other than applying Future. Doing light coats until I get the look I want. You can always add more coats, but your sort of stuck with what you have if it's applied too heavy, though I guess you could spray a flat coat over it. Future for...
