Ebay will be your cheapest bet IF you can find the right ones and get lucky. I've bought a bunch of locos off of ebay. Non DCC equiped, but I'm looking into swapping my blue box athearns over. :thumb:

Depends on how confident you feel with your painting skills. I've done a couple the way you described and they turned out pretty well. Can you get a undecorated version? I have had the best results with my total paints on undecorated models. In the end its all up to you man! :wave:

What thickness styrene should I be using? I have been using Evergreen #9015 0.4mm sheets.
