Very nice job. Did you buy it at the campsite, or somewhere else? It would be a good item to sell there for a souvenir.

Are you using the flash? My camera was doing the same thing when I had the flash turned off to avoid shadows. Turns out all the pictures were blurry, even if I used macro mode. I turned the flash on and suddenly the pictures were in focus. :p I was so frustrated I almost threw out the camera.

    Swallowtail Butterfly

I'm visiting my Mom and we had an impromptu card modeling session today. This would have taken me much longer at home, but with both of us cutting we got it done in a few hours. It's from the Canon paper model site. :-) More pictures here: jepolch/Swallowtail - Photobucket - Video and...

Picture of the Week Info - Where?

Wouldn't it help if there were just a small caption under the picture to identify who made it? I have always thought it was strange that the POTW had no caption and left me wondering who the builder was. :?

I happen to have quite a few sheets of balsa I bought when I was building model rockets (Estes type). I used 16th inch balsa to make the frame for Nobi's Horten XIIIb, which is almost completed. Something I didn't consider was that the thickness of the balsa changed the dimensions of the frame...

Charles Simonyi, the latest space tourist, has some good looks at the Soyuz booster and other interesting pics and videos on his web site. He was launched from the same pad as Yuri Gagarin. Only thing I don't like about the site is that it's all done in Macromedia Flash. :cry...

Looks great. How do you apply the Future on the paper? I'd be afraid of ruining the color or warping the paper.

Continuing this conversation with myself :) I would give that link to everyone in my family and they could use it when they buy from Amazon, too. Doesn't cost them any extra and it only helps cardmodels.net.

So that affiliate link is actually in place and working now? Why isn't there a link to it on the home page?
