    1:400 USN Destroyers!

Been there & done that! My wife is tired me telling all the goofball mistakes I try to amaze her with. Hope you can fix the torpedo launchers without too much trouble. Amazing model airplane you have there. Looks even more impressive in your hand.

    Halinski Bismarck 1/100 Scale

What are we looking at? I mean, what is in the background? People like me who build small models are susceptible to being impressed by large projects like this. It boggles our imagination!

    Halinski Bismarck 1/100 Scale

So that was an 8' plywood sheet! I didn't realize that. You must be building in your garage or you must have a very large house. Most people here in Hawaii can't find 8' anywhere. Our bedrooms are smaller than those on the US mainland (some are smaller than 10'x10'). Good luck! Hope...

Nice going, Barry! Pictures look good!

    Halinski Bismarck 1/100 Scale

Are we talking 8 feet? Is my arithmetic off? 1/200 would be around 4 feet, right? What a gigantic project!

    1:400 GPM Hiryu

Good work! Any ideas on what is next (ship or plane)? We have lots of the airplane guys aboard here. Of course Hiryu has a lot of planes on it.

    Tsarist battleship: Sissoi Velikey

Thanks guys. Since nibel requested a few more photos, I shot a few. The first is a photo tweaked by my Kodak software.

    Tsarist battleship: Sissoi Velikey

Thanks guys. Pbhawkin, I have no plans to publish a kit of Sissoi Velikey. I am very low tech in construction techniques. The most complicated tool that is involved is a photocopier. I do not use a computer to assist in the designing. Aside from plan views, no patterns are used. So...

    Tsarist battleship: Sissoi Velikey

Hopefully, I have posted two images of Sissoi Velikey. I apologize for the lack of clarity. I have been fiddling around with my Microsoft image software, which said that this is the preferred size for E-mail.

    HMVS Ceberus, 1:200, PaperShipwright

Flu: Very nicely done. I've built one, but I had lots of trouble myself. Yours is a lot better.

    USS Selfridge from Gremir

Nice work. Very nice fleet. As you have a battleship, two destroyers, and a minesweeper, I think that makes you an admiral. Odd to have a Padre as an admiral, however.

    USS Tarawa LHA1 1/200

Looks good so far. You must use a ton of printer ink.

Photos of Russian battleships Evstafey model

Alaimo@jcu.edu: No I do not use any magnifying equipment. Being nearsighted, I just hod the parts near to my face to examine them. This tactic is working less well these days. A couple of weeks ago, while working on a sighting hood for a secondary turret, I discovered that I had been...

Photos of Russian battleships Evstafey model

Thanks guys. In answer to your question about size, from shortest to longest, they range from approximately 7.5 inches to 9.75 inches long.

Photos of Russian battleships Evstafey model

Barry asked me to show a picture of the ships I have built so far. Below is a shot of the Russian predreadnoughts built to date. My long range plan is to build at least two more one day (Tsesarevich & Andrei Pervozvanny).

I decided to post another shot of Evstafey, which should be clearer than the ones I submitted earlier. Here it is
