    Making a Canopy

I've been working on a method of creating transparent canopies for aircraft by melting clear plastic bags on a mold and installing them on my model. I've built a 1:87th scale of a German Heinkel HE 111 WWII Bomber and I've been trying out methods of making the bullet shaped canopy around the...

    hot glue gun

Oh I remember many times that I've burnt my poor digits with that dastard glue gun of mine. However! If I needed something really big glued together fast and solid I don't shy away from it although I'll admit it's been a long while since I used a hot glue gun and even longer since I made...

    Funny for the day

I lost a good chunk of skin off my fingers with CrAzy glue before so it isn't too far fetched. Lol.

    Paper stiffener

If you're using a print out model from a PDF your best chances is to paint it with a canvas grade enamble for a base coat then print out a detialed side of that model to put over it. I would recommend my water quenching technique but some of the old-guard PDF modelers will think it is lunacy...

    I say Hi !

Welcome to the forum. Chances are you'll participate more than I ever would, lol. I couldn't help but notice the 3rd and 4th pick from Zathros there reminded me of the two vehicles off a old B Grade movie from the 70s called Duel between an old tanker truck and a small red car. Funny...

    Waterproofing

This is why I paint my models then seal it with acrylic liner. I never use ink nor are any of my models "print outs" in that order.

    Would it be cheating...

Very true, it is very subjective. However my models are probably designed towards miniature wargaming than anything or at least 80% of my works at least. No photos yet unfortunately. I am withholding for personal reasons until I think my work is ready for the public. Call me paranoid.

    Would it be cheating...

I know I'm late for saying this (necro-post incoming) but thank you all for you input. I have thought about the rules of modeling and after making some efforts of my own and against my own best intentions I have stubbornly stuck with being a purist but within reason. There is no greater...

    Table top RPG/RTS?

There is a boardgame of Starcraft and there was an attempted manufacturing of figurines for Command and Conquer at one time but never a table top game which I would really love to see, especially of the Tiberium series. There is an RPG/RTS collectable miniatures game for Warcraft as well as...

Having one of those will definitely make my habit easier although my wallet will hate it.

    A Quarter Century

Considering I have friends who are of my age group (some even younger!) already have families started. I have to say some of these people who start families early they tend to age a lot sooner than someone who doesn't have that "ol' ball and chain" and 3 kids. (Like me) I maybe 25 but I have...

    Scale-tastrophe

25mm. Interesting. I like 25mm because of the details and in Wargames they start taking up a lot of space when you try to play large games. Anyone know of high quality 15mm, 10mm and 6mm miniature manufacturers? I like to their models as references to guage the size and detial levels for my...

    A Quarter Century

25 years... 25 years is a long time and even more so it's an age that I didn't think I'd see. I'm thankful for the b-day email from Zealot forums, thank you all. To some of you 25 years isn't all that old but considering the ups and downs I'm wondering what the next 25 years will hold for...

    Scale-tastrophe

In wargames in general what scale would you prefer to play with? I know most mainstream game are either in 15mm (Flames of War) 28mm (Warmachine/40k) and 25mm (Warhammer Fantasy)I've been looking at 20mm as a medium but isn't wholly popular these days in wargaming. 15mm maybe something I...
