    Mechs versus Tanks

I agree where the Landmate suit exoskeleton can be more of a practical approach to a battlesuit. However, some of its elaborate abilities portrayed in the series is a bit over the top in my opinion but then again too it's anime and reality tends not to bode well with anime if any at all, LOL...

    Mechs versus Tanks

I make the same logical argument and yet the fanboys get all bent out of shape about it "Waaah! nothing can beat a gundam, you hater! Waaah!" I was actually banned from a forum for making that same argument. Realistically that is a very likely scenario that you just discribed in the next 50...

    Mechs versus Tanks

I like to dig up an old argument in science fiction that is about the most contested debates on the internet since Russian armor fan boys versus Western armor fans. (For the record the Israeli Merkeva 4 is the best tank  ) The only difference this time I like to exclude anime mecha...

    It's Real Steel.....wellll kinda....

I still say it's not as good as Robot Wars from G4Tv or BattleBots from Comedy Central. There was a UK version of either show a while back but I didn't think it was as good as the originals from here and Canada. I agree with arkon that it's all scripted, typical of reality tv.

Model-making is not for the weak

Hence why in some cases they call it "The Emo's cut" for obvious reasons. Be lucky you didn't do the Young Frankenstien scene when he stabbed himself in the leg. I came close to doing that myself in frustration. You know which scene I'm talking about...

    The Student & Teacher

Einstein is more accurate defined as a ‘Deist’ like some of the founding fathers although many would like to jump to the conclusion he was atheist overall. That’s nonsense to the point of ignorance. I happen to have one of his autobiographies ‘A Life: Einstein’ and it explains that he disliked...

Condescension? Who do you think I am? An athiest? Respect the views of others is indeed the point of the whole story. I can respect you all day long right up until you call me and I'll quote one of them... "dark-aged superstitous trogladites upholding the progress of mankind." So to be fair...

    Making a Canopy

I apologize, the temperature for the bottle was wrong. That was for the plastic bags, the temperature I used to shape the plastic bottle was closer to 310-345 degrees. I experimented with the other half of the same bottle last night to make a "tear drop" shape canopy like ones similar on most...

I dabbled with the bottle last week and I was very impressed the results following your method with the exception of using a heat gun. I popped mine in the oven for a few minutes at 240-270 degrees Farenheit. (I'm in the US so you do your own conversion for Celsuis you Euros!) I'll admit it...

Model-making is not for the weak

I had a few cuts, nothing to draw a any considerate amount of blood let alone any stiching however. I had more close calls than anything of that sort since I cut away and cheat with burring the flashing off. Amusing eitherway. Of course I have bigger problems with paranoia than cutting my...

    The new guy :)

Nice to see another Battletech fan. Don't feel too bad about the english bit because even some of us with english as our first language can't get it right all the time either! (Guilty as charged here)

    Making a Canopy

I tried plastic bottles, however they're not quite malleable for the scale I use them in. Everytime I heat up the bottles they cool too fast by the time I get the mold ready. I like to know where to get that plastic packaging so I can experiment with it. What I'm using you can find in any...
