Thanks @zathros it just takes a bit of getting used to. I've finished off the other side of the bodywork this morning and now I just have to arrange the parts on the pages.

In the little free time I've had over the last few days, I've managed to sort parts for the left hand bodywork. Now to do the other side.

Not much accomplished today, I have made a few more fins and I used an offcut from round the bottom section to measure the distance between the fins.

About 1 inch tall. I thought about trying the same technique tonino used for the joystick in his shuttle flight deck. If I layer the paper in the rough shape of the body and then pick away with the knife to refine the shape, I might be able to get more detail. Then the wings would just need...

Not bad for a first attempt, but far from perfect. There are a few refinements to be made and then I'll try again. The wings aren't narrow enough and the body needs to bend lower down. Also the head looks terrible.
