BSG Viper Mark I (nearly 1:32) building thread

Dear All, It was a long wait until the Viper was finally launched. I as a BSG and SW fan built the model immediately. It has the same size (1:48) as the Mark II from UHU. - So far so good, but my favorite size is 1:32. So I printed out the parts on an A3 printer and see.....it almost reaches...

Star Wars Imperial TIE Fighter by Shunichi Makino - enlarged to 1/32 scale

Sounds very cool - 1/32 is my favourite scale. Are you allowed/going to publish the 1/32 Tie? P.S. 1/32 Viper you would be allowed - is this also on your todo list?

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

I used the same parts as for the upside and added details. To fill the hole for the droid on the upper side I used the cannon part - looks OK for me.

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

Additional greebling material for the end parts. And final assably. Looking good - not perfect but good. And then I turned to the bottom side - Whaaaat? Looking boring - and by checking the plastic model I noticed that - of course - the bottom side is also greebled. So printing additional...

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

Mashines final - end part done. End part: 2 copies - glue together to have the correct pattern (colour) on both sides, as both sides are visible. (also more stable) - and I cut the glueing tabs - they are not needed and would not look good, I suppose Connection between end part and mashines...

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

I would not name it add-on kit, but I would upload my parts to this model. Maybe it might be used as is or as a basis for better parts.

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

Oh forgot to mention: The part shown in the penultimate picture was created with the correct texture on both sides, so that the inside view is also correct.

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

You got that right - it has much space for adding details, and thx for your cheering words. My last post was a bit longer ago, which is because i had to struggle with the next parts. I noticed that the plastic model looks different as the paper model. Therefore I tried to create some parts...

SCORPION SHIPYARDS beta test build of the Colonial Viper MK-I

ITS OUT!! Wonderful model. Thanks to RevellFan and RhavenBlaak for this gift. - Unfortunately I am still ocupied in my recent build. Stop Y-Wing and start Viper? Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/NY/N Y/NY/N Y/NY/N Y/N - hard decision. As mama always said - finalize things first before you start the next one...

Star Wars - Y-Wing building thread

The next part must be placed in front of the greebeling, because it has to be pushed through an opening, which is not possible afterwards. The additional parts up to here I made mostly with 1mm cardstock. For the next parts I will use a smaller thickness.

Thank you for the cheering words. I like them too, and I hope the final painting and weathering will optimize it.
