O is the next scale my FOOT! You forgot both S scale and the little-known TT scale! Shame on you, GEC!

    Amtrak Control Cars

Well, if it's motored, you'd have to make it a dummy; control cars don't have motors. (Who am I kidding, you can do what you want motor-wise!) But it shouldn't be too hard to do that. Just a few extra bits (like maybe a horn?) and it should be perfect!

    G.E.C's layout pictures

That's not entirely true, GEC. Because of the fact that all the caternary locos run off of the rails at this point, if you were to switch them over, they'd only need one rail. As long as that one was the common negative, you'd have no problem running both types.

    Minor Conversion

That looks like one of EMD's export models...they were like about three feet shorter HEIGHTWISE than US locos...weird things... Then again, speaking of weird things... DD trucks under an SD45, and... U50-style BB span bolster trucks under a Dash 9-44CW. This is in Brazil, on...

Ok, good thing that you're at least nailing SOME down lol... Try to put at least one nail in each piece of track. For later, when you're thinking about roadbed, cork is the traditional way to go, but, if you want to run a bit quieter, get the Woodland Senics's special stuff. It really...

    G.E.C's layout pictures

Wow, what happened there? Someone get a little overzealous with the soldering iron? Do any of your locos have the ability to actually run off the caternary lines or are they just for show?

Atlas is a well-known company in this world, as is Walthers, Athearn, etc. I don't want to confuse you though. Hmm...Are you nailing the track down or just letting it sit? Because if you don't nail it down and it's not EZ-Track, it'll work its way apart and you'll derail!

    Aftermarket decals for Loco's...

If I'm not mistaken, Spongemike is looking for a full-size decal that he can slap onto a loco that will completely replace painting. Um. If so, I don't think anyone makes those, and besides, you'd lose so much detail on the loco, why would you not just paint it?

Stewart Hobbies: Good, Bad or The Ugly?

Heh, I have a GN F3 A-B set for my Empire Builder. I call them "Stewart/Kato" because they're from when Stewart was using Kato's stuff. They are my absolute unbeatably strongest pullers, period. I stuck everything else of mine behind them and (using DCC) pulled away...the F3s, at full...

Jeezu, STILL going strong? If at any time you fee as though your layout and stuff is just getting to be too much, feel free to ah...unload a few around here, know what I mean? lol But seriously, keep up the GREAT work!

    Convince me

HO, all the way. I believe that there are a lot more steam locos out in HO than in N, probably due to the increased difficulty of getting the bars that small!

    Doubling Up On Engines

How do you manage to run just the one unit? Are you using a Miniatronics 4-pin or some other system?

Wiring Walthers DCC turnouts on a block DC layout

A solution to Gary's apparent multiposting fetish...USE THE MODIFY BUTTON! A solution to the problem that the OP asked about... Uh... What Gary said?

Yeah, it's old, but it was a fun build...

Wow, what all UP steamers do you have in there? I know I saw at least one Challenger and one Big Boy...

Finally got DCC now i need a lil help...

I personally have the Zephyr, and I'm somewhat disappointed. I have run my DC locos on a Digitrax Zephyr layout before and they run at almost full speed. I wired up my own Zephyr to a simple OVAL and the DC locos only move at about half speed. I do understand that the idea of "model"...

Neither have I. You've been busy! Looks just as incredible as ever. Hey, your "Guess these trains" pic...the one on top is easy, UP 4-6-6-4 Challenger! If you're ever thinking about selling it... On another note, wow, this thread is still going? :roll1:
