Brilliant and very fine work. I'm in awe of your ability to cut that small. Excellent craftsmanship. Chris

Victorian battleships and steamships..can anyone help?

I would also be very interested in ships of this period and especially some of the more unique side-wheelers and ironclads. Best of luck in this endeavor! Chris

    Panther G early 1-25 scale /GPM + scratch /1 PD SS LAH ,Paris 1944

Beautiful! What a fantastic kitbash. You've done a wonderful job of taking the paper model past its limitations and into the realm of a true replica. How long was this entire project? Certainly it must have been a long time (please tell me that it was!). Well done! Chris

Looks great, Tim! A nice looking model, most definitely. I'll be curious to see how you do on the Surubi, it's one on my list as well. I really like the look of that one. Good luck! Chris

    Krakus Build Thread

This is one of the few ship models I'm interested in building. The MM version seemed a bit rough, and quite honestly, I just don't trust the SuperModel version. Is this revamped version available? I didn't see any download, but I may have gone right by it. Chris

    TWE Porter Build

FINISHED!:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: The only real issue I had was the support for the crosshead guide. I didn't understand how Phil had designed it, so I cheated and made supports from scratch. I like the way it came out and Phil's done a fantastic job (especially for...

    TWE Porter Build

Plugging along on this one. I think I made a mistake in enlarging this one before building a test in the original scale. Some of the fit is very exact and what works well in 1/32 gets to be a bit more of a challenge almost 60% larger! The headlight is a nice little model in itself. it's...

    kettenkrad

Wonderful build of what looks like a very nice model. Who makes the kit? Did you have any specific problems with it? Congratulations on a nice model! Chris

    TWE Porter Build

A little further today. Ran into my first real problem this morning. The boiler didn't want to sit straight on the boiler supports and drooped toward the front. I cut a new front support and that made the difference. Still not sure if it was my mistake or a possible misfit with the kit...

    TWE Porter Build

Got a real start on it today! I don't think I've built a model with no instructions or part numbers before and I was a little intimidated at the prospect. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the parts are going together! These photos are in no particular order, but here's the cab...

    TWE Porter Build

I'm taking a break from my Stuka building to do a scaled up version of TWE's great little Porter model. The kit is in 1/32 scale, but my train modeling is in 1:20.3 scale, so I've enlarged Phil's work 157.6% ( I think that's right; it's close enough for me!). Here it is on all eighteen pages...

TheWoodEngraver's Practically Perfect Porter is here!!

Guys, Phil has updated the download. The first version was missing a part or two and one piece had to be fixed. He's done all that, so I suspect you may want to reload the kit. Chris

:oops::oops:Thanks, Chris!:oops::oops::oops: I realized my mistake, but when I went back, I couldn't edit the title! I guess I was too darned excited about the kit! Chris

[/IMG] If you love cool trains and American Prototypes, go here for the finished kit of his 1/32 1887 Porter Industrial Loco! TWE Tinies Phil's done a fantastic job on this, from what I've seen and I can't wait to do my build of it! My personal thanks to Phil for doing one of my favorite...
