I did exactly the smae thing had a prodigy till the Advane came out. I've been running 3 to 4 trains with it on a 6x12x6 n scale layout for several months. No problems with it at all.

The best way to clean the track is probably a Brite Boy block ( looks similar to an eraser available at hobby shops everywhere :D ) As far as wheel sets go there's alot of ways to skin a rabbit. I have a test track set up where I tack an old cotton cloth across it dampened with alcohol, hold...

Hi t-w I would just be sure the motor is isolated from the frame.

I try to do something every day. Even if it is cleaning up the mess i make over the weekend, and if I don't have time to clean up I'll at least run a train every day for 10 to 15 min. Helps keep the track clean ( thats my excuse and I'm stickin to it.) :rolleyes:

Good advice Andrew. I found that clean track is the biggest problem, now I tend to run trains more offten to keep the rails clean, or maybe I just use that as an excuse to run my trains more offten, either way it helps. :D

Hi Bob I've been using the PA for a few months now wothout any problems. I agree, also I like the yard mode makes switching alot easier.
