Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] - Part VI

Hope everyone had a nice 4th. We were invited to a cookout at my Son's place. Due to the weather it turned out to be a cook on porch and eat inside event, but we really need the rain so no complaints from us.

Doug, I love history so for me it is always worth it. I've been there four times now but this was the first in the Summer. Not the best time of year for a visit, but with kids you don't have a lot of choice. If you do take your children I suggest you have them read a little about what they...

I'm back! Spent the last five days in the Williamsburg, VA area with daughter and two teen aged grand children. Interesting. The temps bested 100 on two days, others in the high 90s. Special re-inactors weekend with lots of action. Glad I wasn't wearing the heavy clothing that they were...

RT, Glad to hear that things are going good for you. You need to update your profile, now that you have moved. Do you have space for a layout at the new home? CNWman, What RR and what type of steamer? Should be fun for you. I'm old enough to remember seeing them on the PRR & Reading main...

Good afternoon, I've had a busy couple of days and didn't get a chance to post yesterday. Had a Church committee breakfast in the morning, yard work in the afternoon and then out to dinner and to see Brigadoon at the Fulton Theater in Lancaster, PA. BTW the Fulton is the oldest continually...

Happy Birthday S.J. Happy anniversary Brent. Enjoy the vacation TomPM. Have a nice day Chief. It's a beautiful day here, started out cool so I had enough ambition to sharpen the mower blades, backflush the pond filter & clean up the planted area around the pond, before it got hot. And to...

Welcome aboard Brent. It sure is quiet today, everyone one must have over celebrated Dad's day yesterday. We went to a buffet brunch and I am still full. Running my coast guard CNJ RS-3 as we speak. It is a K-line and has pretty good sounds.
