Jeffrey, I assume the gearing is very different in the two switchers. Wish we could adjust like that to lash up TMCC and DCS. You can adjust for minor variations in speed but not like you described.

Chief, I decided not to heat the greenhouse this year until about February 1. Not worth the expense to heat it just to carry over a few plants. Gets to cold here. Will start the slow seeds in the basement and then move the seedlings to the greenhouse, start the later seeds in the GH...

SJ, I can always find something that I NEED. Ordered one of the Pennsy G5s locos. To my knowledge this is the first time that this has been offered in Proto 2. Ordered 2 boxcars and an R50B express reefer. Also the Waddell Coal hoppers. That should hold me till Spring. :thumb:

If you are wondering, I can only think of one thing at a time. Went on OGR magazines tour to the Weaver Plant today and also a tour of the retired founder of the company's personal layout. It is in a 90' X 40' room and fills most of it. Awesome. All 3-rail O gauge. Will post a few picks...

Gus, My pond is on the small size. 7' X 11' X 3' deep. I handle the pond. The fish are my wife's pets. Or they were. She would like to strangle that long necked rascal. One of these days I'm actually going to post something about trains. :yep:

When you live in the North you have to winterize. I trim back all of the hardy water plants and sink them to the bottom of the pond, take out the tender plants and either discard them or try to hold them over in a heated area. As I keep my waterfall and filter system running all winter, I also...

Evening all, Tom, We still have a few left, but not sure how many as they are scared to death and won't come up to eat. I have an upside down milk crate on the bottom of the pond with a water lily pot on top of it that provides cover for them as well as a lot of plants. We had 30+ fish. Only...

Chief, The big down side to Fall is that it is followed by WINTER wall1  Tom, I don't winterize the pond until we get several sub freezing nights. Usually mid November. Don't think I mentioned it but we took a big hit from a Blue Huron. Got about 3/4 of our fish. Most of the...

Jeffrey, Looks like a major track realignment is in order. May have to call out the heavy equipment for this one. I see that you already have the backhoe nearby. If this is on the mainline, you may have to build a bypass loop first.

Good morning, So far the weather doesn't look as good as the forcast said it would, cloudy and dark. Tom, I do not envy you the trials and tribulations of parenting. Been there & done that. Much better being a grandparent. Chief, They say you can get used to anything if you keep at it long...

Been there, done that. I've used a CPAP for about ten years, a pain in the #$%&, but I guess it helps as wife says I don't stop breathing at night anymore and I no longer snore.
