The old 32 to 40 foot wood and steel reefers

I found a few old Vintage HO cars, all are mostly metal boxcars, at the Golden Nugget flea market last Sunday 5-2-21. Here is a Western Pacific Feather boxcar. All metal except for a wood floor. The car is in excellent condition for being produced in the earls 1950's. frank

The old 32 to 40 foot wood and steel reefers

I was told they were undecorated and finished by a now no longer among us very good person. A person I have not met but was told about, and a pleasant tale it...

I am still looking for the HObbyline tank car "CONOCO" with no results. So I took some HObbyline undecorated kit tank cars and made my own till I can find an original one. I don't know the correct color so I made a few different ones. The silver one I have yet to complete. It still needs ladders...

I found at the New York Society of Model Engineers train show 4-10-2021 at Carlstadt NJ two old Varney steam locomotives that were made during the 1940s and maybe into the 1950s. One is the 2-8-0 consolidation. the other the 2-8-4 Berkshire. Both had a newer type of tender as you will see. Both...

I have been stuck with my 74+ years of mental block hold me from moving on with my layout. The yard tho functional with switch ladders on both ends of the yard can not store many cars. Two of the yard tracks are so short they are close to useless. I removed four of the switches from the left...
