    Large scale Imperial Warships

And you should be! Awesome detailing work. I've some shots of my 1:10,000 ISD's, with 1:5000 (1:10,000 was too crazy-small) scale groups of TIE fighters to support them. Mostly scratchbuilt, although I made rough 3d templates in Blender for the basic styrene shapes. Since these pics I...

    Large scale Imperial Warships

The secret technique is eyelash/eyebrow tweezers. No kidding. I've assembled 2mm goggles (1 mm wide) on my figures using those. On the scratch built ones I used faceted craft-beads that my daughter donated to the cause. A little big, but perfect shape. Tirick

    Large scale Imperial Warships

I scratchbuilt myself a pair of 1:10,000 scale Impstars (as well as an Interdictor and a Victory) a few years ago out of plasticard, and after it was done I realized how horrible the scale/detail was on the Ertl kit. I'd known how bad the Falcon was, but before then I'd always thought the ISD...

    Large scale Imperial Warships

Awesome, the Venator is one of the better designs to come out of the 'new' trilogy. Tirick

Oh man this is gonna be sahweet!!!!

I toyed with converting the model myself, but way too many projects. This looks like a modified model rip though which explains the faceting. And hell-yeah. I want one.

    Large scale Imperial Warships

At that scale mate, it'd be 6 meters long (or more). I know my wife would kibosh any attempt I made at something that bloody big. I totally want one of those strike cruisers. Ever since playing WEG Star wars I've wanted one. Milleniumfalsehood, you mentioned sharing? :D Tirick

    My 1:18 Thunderfighter build

They are a bit closer to 1:20, but yes, essentially. Great build, BTW, I never had one of these as a kid either, but they were awesome.

    Incredible Babylon 5 Models

Brings up a big selection list of meshes, but does not automatically hide any, no. I can select from there, but that is hardly as easy and intuitive as the Viewer. I can live without it (obviously), it would just make it much more awesome.

Yes. I have a licensed version of Pepakura Designer 3.0.8. It is the standard license, not the upgrade with the 3072x texture limit.

How do you set it? By default selecting a separated mesh in Viewer hides all other objects in the 3D view. Designer does not do this by default, and I cannot locate that setting. This would be massively invaluable in my projects. Thank you, Tirick

    Incredible Babylon 5 Models

They are definitely fine-detail bits. They may have been omitted due to size/expectation of skill. It is easier to 'see' them in Viewer, but you can't edit there. I really wish Pep designer had the same x-ray selection view that Viewer had. Nevertheless, I might be able to pull them apart later...

    New member from Canada

Welcome to the forum! It's great to see another Canuck. I'm not really close to Kingston, but it is a lovely area, especially along Hwy 2. I hope you enjoy your time here, this is a great place to ask any questions and post your builds. Tirick

    warhammer Land Rider

That I don't know. I may make a selection of weapons, and mount using magnets. I still have to scratchbuild some sponsons. I have been distracted with other designs and builds of late. This was a very fun model to build, easy to put together, and rivals the original for detail. The ability to...

    WWII Pilots - Posable, Multiscale

The RAF Pilot is now released, and in the store section of my site: TCF Gaming – Portal At the advice of a random stranger (thank you G+) I added a small element; Officer braiding options to the peaked hat: I have abandoned the idea of adding different zoned coloring. The tropical uniform...

    WWII Pilots - Posable, Multiscale

So a bit of a delay as I built up a cockpit and canopy to test fit the figure into, but here are some fitted shots. I've finished the design of Mae West life vest, shown below, and the seat-type parachute fits nicely in the cockpit/seat I used (Andrew Ingwald's Bader Spitfire, available for...

Those pencil marks almost look like little scale welding scars. Looking great thus far! Tirick

In what way do you mean? The pictures? I post them to Photobucket, then post the URL link into the forum message. Easy as eating pancakes.

    WWII Pilots - Posable, Multiscale

I've started to put together the prototype build, and you can see progress pictures below. I've built all the pieces at 1:35 (1:33 for cockpit builds is an easy scale from here). What you see below are the officer's cap, some progress shots and final shots of the seat-type parachute and the...

    WWII Pilots - Posable, Multiscale

Alright, this part took a lot longer than I expected; mostly because of my unfamiliarity with the subject. So, here I present my interpretation of the Irvine seat-type parachute, as used by the RAF fighter pilots. I expect I've made some errors, and this is in some ways an amalgamation of...
