How to superdetail a PAtoroch Leman Russ

11/55 Barbette of a commander's hatch Barbette is made by gluing the ring of paper strips to a needed diameter. Foil and paper are glued afterward, to look as commander's viewports. From the top is glued a thin shape to mask the layers of paper. Everything is glued-through with PVA glue and...

How to superdetail a PAtoroch Leman Russ

I can try that, they taught me Russian long time ago (but it was the right age, because I still can read and understand (more or less) it.)... So first try here: (I try to translate from top to bottom, from left to right) 1/55 - Upgrade of basic model kit of tank Leman Russ by Vadim...

    Non-card parts in card models

Just two words to this topic - Why not? :) I use resin wheels, transparent canopies, wires, cables scrapped where possible... I used the flexible drinking straws as hydraulic (or whatever) hoses here: If it helps the model, then it is no problem, IMO :)

    Maly Modelarz updates?

Yep, even bigger beast - Handley Page Halifax B Mk.II Series IA. (4-5-6/2010) You can see some build photos here: http://www.mazowszelok.pl/component/content/article/115-galeria-maego-modelarza/710-zdjcia-z-budowy-modelu-qhalifaxq On the other hand, the reception was not quite good. It is...

Wolf Guard Terminator (build) / by Daishi / ~1:10

So, we move on to the belly, belt and hips. The forming of the thin strips is a bit tricky, but it came out pretty nicely. Belt & belly (seems like some soft parts exposed): (so many flaps...) Put together. :) And the hips: Right side: Left side: (looks like...

Wolf Guard Terminator (build) / by Daishi / ~1:10

From the first time I have seen him, I knew I have to build him. So here goes... Downloadable here:  http://daishi.elementfx.com/ (new address, BTW) (tread carefully, my antivirus reports some problem with an external component of this page (a counter perhaps?)) To save space...

De Havilland Mosquito Mk.II NF / Mały Modelarz / 1:33

Just a few more parts to go  The rear wheel assembly. Nothing much here. The canopy. Well, not really good. I got me some copies and started to experiment. At first try, not so good fit in the lower part. At second try, better fit, but what about the hole in the upper part...

De Havilland Mosquito Mk.II NF / Mały Modelarz / 1:33

shoki2000: Yes. Needed a bit of cutting and filing here and there (pity I did not take a photo when I started on them), but still look many times better than anything I could scratch from cardboard or wood. It surprised me how heavy the wheels are :)

De Havilland Mosquito Mk.II NF / Mały Modelarz / 1:33

I'll kick it up a little (pun intended :D) Finished the main landing gear, with help of plastic wheels (sold as accessories), some wires and a lot of cyanoacrylate glue (not really). Looks as it should. Work on the engines is also finished, only few more parts left to do...

Model Of The Month: Brownie Reflex Camera

Nice, really. I like the details, as the window for the frame number :) I used to photograph on this (pretty similar) thing i got from my grandfather... Medium format roll film, 6 cm wide, 12 square frames... Perhaps I will try it again, but the pictures are quite expensive, if you take...

    ninjatoes tie-fighter released.

This one seems very "old school", very handmade. Not a bad thing, IMO. But it is strange, how one can get used to the computer graphic, so this model seems not so precise as others... But it is tempting to give it a go :) I like his style of instructions, really. And he knows how to use the...

    Supermarine Spitfire Mk. VB MT-F / 1:33

So, Spitfire is out there :) This is how it came out: (a bit too green for me, but only on the cover :)) My photos :) Other people's photos and drawings :) The model itself: And yes, the accessories - laser-cut ribs and a cockpit cover (the latter still in work, but we are...

De Havilland Mosquito Mk.II NF / Mały Modelarz / 1:33

I have been having something like a modeller's block, recently... So, let's try to kick this thread up, again... The inner part of the wings Is a bit on the naïve side. The drawn radiators are not very pretty, so I reworked them a little. Original: Cut apart: Cut out parts of the...

    building my own snowspeeder

I am watching this, too. I am curious how the pilots will work out, because there is no space for legs in the snowspeeder. You will see when you get there. Even in the original prop the pilots had their legs sticking out :) Enlarged to A1... Wow... That puts the scale roughly somewhere to 1:7...

    'Milla Migulia'

Clean as... something pretty clean, i think ;) Did you consider trying to make the "interior" of the headlight with a transparency and a silver foil? IMO the drawn headlight is too easy for this level of modelling. See here, it does not have to be too complicated: (Not my build. Pretty good...
