Could be Norton, I'm not too fond of their software. But, my first guess would be that you've got some elements of the old software from this site in the browser's cache, and once that's gone you'll be fine.

How did you post if nothing works? It may just be a matter of clearing the old out of the browser's cache.

Can't say for sure, never having joined it, but it sounds like they may moderate new members and being a week later perhaps the moderator isn't very active in that group anymore. Or, perhaps spam filters got the emails, one way or the other.

Heck, the Internet has already nearly eliminated my need to travel. We still sometimes ride the train for fun though. :D

Hi Ken, didn't mean to pick on you or anyone. I can say two things about this topic. 1. It's near impossible for me to make everyone happy. 2. Despite #1, I'm planning to take a crack at it and am trying to work out a way to make the site look nicer for new members but keep the old ones...
