    Try a spray acrylic varnish. I use Krylon artists matt and gloss. 1 can of spray will do several models. To avoid saturation of the paper use light "mist" coats.

    There is a picture that was on display at the NMotUSAF taken from the C, of another Blasckbird at Mach 3 and 80,000 feet. Blue sky below, and black space above, and you could see 4 shock diamonds in the exhaust flow. That is the picture I need to find and save.

    Hello Everybody

    Welcome Aboard! I started paper modeling to augment my plastic habit. I've been on ere a while, but I still consider myself a beginner paper modeler. pick a model you interested in, and start slow. Also try starting with basic shapes, the Zealot scale cube set will help teach the basics.

    Many years ago there was a Squadron or some such book on Panzer IVs that had all sorts of pics of captured and destroyed tanks. I don't know if that would still be available.

    I use this 'trick' on models with raised panel lines, to make them look recessed.

    You can try an "optical" trick to make panel lines look recessed. make the edges of adjoining panels 1 shade lighter with the thin line between them.

    In my time aboard ship, no one ever called it the "Conn" It was always either the "High Chair" or the " Center Seat" FFGs, and DDGs tended to call it the High Chair, while Aegis CGs it was the Center Seat, because it was a revolving chair in the center of C3I. "Conn" is on the bridge...
