    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Sudsy, thanks for the info and pictures. Attempting to build it with the full cut out of the frames, except the bottom layer with the tape on it. OK, artistic license in effect. Laminated 4 pieces of 110 together (With UHU ;-) ), and cut into strips and then cut chunks off and glued to the...

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

On second thoughts, maybe I will greble it, and next time cut out the full window frames. Hmmm...... gun camera? IR sensor, FLIR sensor anyone? Scott ;-)

My Trials and Tribulations and Fun!

Yup, that really happened! Printed a lovely vase for my wife, she put a rose in it and in 3 days, we had water all over the counter.... ;-( Scott ;-)

OK, got it. The effect. So, waiting for replies to my questions, before deciding what to do next. Scott ;-)

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Some more pictures. The taped part 12, note the detail on the left, what is that? Cutting, inside first, of the second part A12. You can see the detail here, too. A better look and the detailing on A12 versus A12a parts. Cut out A12. Red card in the background used to guide the...

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

I do not know about the yellowing of the tape. The tape I am using is packing tape used to tape up moving boxes. I have some that are years ago taped in the garage, and are not yellow. The other side of this is that this is the first model I have built, with this complexity, so I am building...

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Thanks, will be doing doing the dry fit thing. I think I am close to cockpit time. The canopy is the next hurdle. So here goes. Working on final glue up of the front of the fuselage. Now starting on the canopy. Now all cut out. How do I make it solid and clear? Packing tape...

    Blackadder's Imperator Titan Build

This was the first 'build' I read from front to back. I really enjoy how you explain how you come to decisions on what to do. I am impressed with you skill in construction with plastic and enjoy the techniques you share. I can't wait to see the final product. Scott ;-)

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Got the UHU at the local scrapbook and stamp shop. Hope they keep it in stock. Mine has a blue twist off cap. They were trying it, so I need to get back there and buy some more! ;-) Scott ;-)

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Zathros, thanks, that is a good idea, test before using on model. Got my pictures from the tablet. Continuing on with the 'tabs', the assembly is finished. UHU glue experiment, continued. I am really liking this. I cut out the cockpit and scored and folded, and formed it. It stayed...

Armored Car - Patoroch T19 Warga

Thanks for the pictures, can't wait to see it in person. Learning to use the UHU glue stick, beginning to like it a lot. Looking really good. You may have to teach me how to play, if this keeps up! ;-) Scott ;-) Have fun!

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Amorman, thanks for the info on painting. Any special kind of markers? Any recommendations? I have seen Sudsy's BMP in person, and I do like the idea of doing that. Also, thank you for posting these models, I am having a lot of fun working on it. This is the beta build, ie. how do I put it...

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

Thank you for the clear direction, will be referring to this in the future. Depends on if I like this model enough to learn how to color on PC. ;-) Notes to self. Titebond III did not work well as a laminating glue, hard to get thin and when dried, even between to 12" ceramic tiles, even...

My Trials and Tribulations and Fun!

Found the Blaster can ( thanks Gandolf50), butI did not think about the solvents, thank you for pointing that out, but, my method of application is to spray a shop towel, first and then rub on the rails. Seems to work, and I will check out the solvents. Hate to see the printer melt away. ;-)...

That is nice to know. What are the goods and bads, copyright related to resizing and coloring, for others, not just yourself? Scott ;-)

My Trials and Tribulations and Fun!

Thanks for EDIT tip. I agree with your assessment of the printer, I purchased it as a hobby purchase, I am fascinated with the idea and capabilities available today. Plastic on the printer is ABS, so far so good. I can print all of the parts my self, and as soon as I build a chamber for it, I...

    Dr Tetrode's Valkyrie build.

OK, cockpit finished. Keeping things square is a challenge, did my best. Lesson or comment. Items 6 and 7 should be built together as the form the console and instument panel, then installed. I did them seperatelty and item 6 ended up off center. I see some parts marked with an asterix is...

Ooops wrong picture above for number 3! #2 should be pix 2 and 3. Item 3 is in this post. Is there a way to edit a post, after posting a reply? Scott ;-)

My Trials and Tribulations and Fun!

Thanks for your input. Things are much better now. Have not found Way Lube, but did clean and 3-in-1 oil the rods in X-axis. Things I found not right after the heat bed replacement. 1. X-axis stepper motor shaft to gear, had slipped, this I believe was the main issue with X axis problem...
