Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

Still moving forward, even if at a snail's pace at times. Got to make a good base for this model! One of my PLA 60mm 3D printed bases with model railroad ballast, actual gravel, and kitty litter bits. Behind would be my distraction... oodles of 3D printed miniatures to paint up...

You might check here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10sYSYih7hroYTS9FpX-cx6t-sr4b_FKt/view?usp=share_link This model has been around a while, and the link in Armorman's thread has changed a few times since I found it years ago, and now it resides on my hard drive (well, a PDF of it I downloaded).

So... I got into resin printing recently...

At this point, I think I will start breaking these sets off into their own threads! Got plenty more prints and paints on the horizon!

So... I got into resin printing recently...

Some more 3D miniature goodness! These are Bob Naismith (the dude that sculpted the first Space Marine for Citadel Miniatures...) Enesis Armored troops. I plan on running them as One Page Rules MEQ (Marine EQuivilent) "Battle Brothers"

Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

I have not forgotten about this project as a new 3D printer and lots of fun new miniatures have indeed distracted me. Here are some progress shots of the final paint and assembly that is nearing completion!

I also think my miniature photography skills have been improving...

So... I got into resin printing recently...

Had to spend some time scaling my images down, as my phone camera now pumps out some big photo files that bust the forum file size limit (sorry...), but the effort was worth it. On a couple of these, you can see some of the aliasing of the 3D printing process. But considering how close to the...

So... I got into resin printing recently...

Here are some of the latest resin 3D prints all painted up. These are from Paul Smith Miniatures on MyMiniFactory where he has a couple bundles of his male and female space elves. Scaled down to about 88% of original, they blend height wise with the classic plastic Eldar kits: Left to right...

So... I got into resin printing recently...

One of my favorite models that is actually painted thus far is this "Astrogirl" from Bob Naismith who at one time worked at Citadel Miniatures and sculpted some of the first Space Marine models (among others). Zenithal prime of the 3D printed figure and base. And the final results are...

This going to be BAD for my painting back log!

So... I got into resin printing recently...

My first large bust (about 1/8th or 1/10th scale) bust of a "Warrior of the Greater Good" from MyMiniFactory. Printed on my brand new Elegoo Mars 2 Pro SLA resin printer and painted with acrylics. Jaw dropping what this thing can do. Though, the print area is small. It is unlikely to replace...

    Imperial Guard Centaur Project

Deal! Once I build something big enough to need those again... I'm pretty sure I won't wait long to find something...

    Imperial Guard Centaur Project

Well, it was still a worth while venture, you showed us an interesting way to produce more tracks!

Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

BTW, the grey lizard running around in the picture up there... Well, that was 3D printed with my new toy!

Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

Primer has been applied! It might have been done by now, but I got distracted by a shiny new 3D printer...

Progress on the legs and feet. Every journey goes one step at a time!

Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

Progress on the legs this weekend! Beefing these chicken legs to be Turkey tough! Not sure they will have tight enough tolerances to pose and be free standing though... but I gave it a shot anyhow. Even if they must be glued in a static pose, it will appear more genuine than the first build!

Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

Not sure if I'll airbrush it or not, this time of year the garage is pretty cold... So I might use my paint brushes like my previous projects. Every time I build a paper vehicle, I do say to myself "This is it, this will be my first airbrush project..." and every time something happens that...

Sentinel build (Sudsy builds another Patoroch design)

Moving forward with the greebles on the cockpit, and the Lascannon. Florist wire, copious amounts of CA glue!

That tends to be the 40K vehicle design philosophy, that and Inter-War period tanks when they experimented with anything.
