Hello from Herefordshire, UK

Sounds great. Papermau is one of our favorite sites. Welcome to Zealotmodels! We look forward to seeing your work. Feel free to post anything pictures of models you have already made in this thread. If you are ever looking for something specific, just ask. More than likely, we'll find one, or something really close. ;)

Hello and welcome you to Zealot!

You have come to the right place for all things paper/cardstock, and to build and hone your skills. The members here are very helpful.
Many of the members are SCI-FI geeks (myself included).

You most certainly can post photos of the models that you have built in this thread, to show what all that you have done. Everyone loves seeing photos!

So, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, need help or advice. Please feel free to ask and we will do what we can to help you (or at least point you in the right direction).

When you start a new project, please post a build thread. Build threads are a great way of show off your work and skills. Not only that, but if you run into an issue with a model you can highlight the area that you are having problems with and we can offer you some suggestions on how to deal with them.

Once again, welcome aboard. I hope that you enjoy yourself here. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

One of my favourite movies is Dark Star, from 1974. I was pleased to find a paper model rendition of the ship on the internet (can't recall where). Although not strictly accurate, the artist/designer did a nice job. I added a clear observation canopy (I moulded it from acetate) and inserted a little Dalby crew figure I printed/reduced, and attached some reflective gold foil and layering on the rear. I had fun making Bomb 20 - it's detachable (via a hidden magnet).

Talking of cute, here's a little model of the Spitfire Mk VI that I made from a Micromodels print I found on the internet. Not particularly sharp print, but finding a reasonably-priced original is difficult. The scale I re-sized, to 1/200. The nose spinner I carved from balsa.
