Here's a photo from JJ's template pdf and my interpretation of it. I haven't made the stand, I'm thinking I might let it fly from fishing line from the ceiling ...

So in summary it's been a really interesting build. I worked from John Jogerst's template which at this scale was really good. A few challenging things along the way, thinking about how the RTG trusses are put together. And happily been able to apply some greebling as well, especially the instruments and the instrument and mag trusses, I think they've come out really well.
As with any model, I can see more opportunities to spend more time on it ... all the dots on the RTG, some of the metalwork around the RTG from the museum photos, the Kick Motor which propelled it on its way initially once in orbit, but I am going to call it a day now. I'm happy with my representation of such an amazing piece (pair) of technology that still explores and transmits back data to scientists even now almost 50 years after they were launched.
So now I have to think of what to do next.
I wanted to finish this model before updating my profile Intro text, please read there if you're curious about the change of username, it's thrown up a permanent challenge I'll have with this modelling hobby, but I'm not going to let it prevent me continuing to learn, practice and get better at this amazing skill.
Thanks for all your encouragement on this project, it certainly helped me get it over the finish line.
