Code 100 Atlas flex track question

Thanks Joe, I appreciate the reply - I guess the good news side to the limited number of replies to my question is that I did not get lots of responses telling me the use of Code 100 is nothing but compatability trouble. ;-) SteveInBama

Code 100 Atlas flex track question

:confused:Can anyone tell me what compatability problems I may encounter with Atlas Code 100 Flextrack? I'm a new guy building a DCC layout to run with Digitrax and diesel engines - turnout type not yet selected. (Peco insulfrog?) Thanks for any tips or warnings..... SteveInBama

    Double Crossover issues

Thanks David, By "low enough" I think you mean even/smooth at the top of the rail where the two types meet? (after mod/crimp of the rail joiners) Sounds like this combo of code 83 with code 100 track will be considerable trial and error. Thanks for the guidelines.

    Double Crossover issues

Thanks y'all, good stuff for me to know about before I stumble into problems. I likely will go with a designed unit (Peco Shinohara or Micro) Do you have any hints on track compatability/ codes, remotes or any on-line references/"how to" links? Ain't technology grand - free answers in a...

    Power District Layout Question, DCC

Jim, I'm starting fresh with DCC. -- purchasing Digitrax and building the benchwork now. Sorry, I don't have a digital layout plan to attach but it is essentially two parallel "L" shaped tracks /circuits with the double crossover/connector of the two parallel track lines, on the longer leg of...

    Power District Layout Question, DCC

I'm a new guy - needing more info on what track block configuration/power districts would be best for an "L" shaped layout with two parallel HO tracks. (total layout length 21'long x 5'wide, 1 dbl xover, and later, 1 reverse loop). I expect to use Digitrx Super Chief,5amp - DT400- with only 4...
